Meet Stuart

Hi, I’m Stuart, founder of From the Sublime Sound and a professional sound engineer based in Bedfordshire.

After many years of running a successful business, I decided to turn a lifelong passion for music and audio into a full-time career. In 2020, I enrolled at SAE Institute London, returning to education after decades and graduating with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Sound and Audio Production.

Since then, I’ve built extensive experience across both live and studio environments, working with artists, venues and events throughout the UK. My work has included front-of-house and live sound engineering at respected venues including the 100 Club, Rescue Rooms, Rebellion and Leo’s, as well as providing regular live sound engineering for local music venues and events.

I have also worked with a range of artists and bands in the studio, recording, mixing and mastering original music, live sessions and album projects. Recent work includes recording, mixing and mastering projects for emerging artists, live recording at the Craufurd Arms, and front-of-house engineering for Stray The Band during their UK tour.

What sets me apart is a combination of technical knowledge, practical experience and a strong professional background. Having spent decades working directly with customers and managing projects, I understand the importance of reliability, communication and delivering results under pressure. Whether I’m mixing a live performance, recording a band in the studio or supporting a special event, I bring the same level of commitment and attention to detail to every project.

At From the Sublime Sound, my aim is simple: to provide clear, professional, high-quality audio that helps artists, venues and events sound their very best.
